Our Core volunteering services have had a busy few months meeting new organisations in the borough, placing volunteers and organising and attending various different events in the local area.

In the last three months, we have registered over 400 volunteers who are looking to put time and energy into their communities. Volunteering is still as popular as ever and as a result, our Core services have been working hard to register new volunteer placements, in order to keep up with the demand. Over the past three months we have registered 50 new volunteer placements from local charities and organisations. As well as external placements, the Volunteer Centre has developed 20 new volunteer placements through its new ‘Health and Well Being’ programme.

In addition, our team have been promoting volunteering all across the borough by having a presence as various recent events including; Ravenscourt Play Day, Met Police Opportunities Fair, Hammersmith College Fresher’s Fair, the Community Convention at White City Community Centre and Time of Your Life event at Hammersmith Town Hall.

We are currently organising a festive Christmas volunteering event in Lyric Square and our bi-annual Awards Ceremony on the 9th December in Hammersmith Town Hall so watch this space!
