EVS Romania Trip

Departure: 6th October 2013           Return: 19th October 2013

Volunteering in Europe is an exciting overseas project run by the Hammersmith & Fulham Volunteer Centre in partnership with Chance for Life Foundation, Romania. We have found eager and enthusiastic volunteers to participate in our project based in Sibiu, Romania.
10 young people will travel for 2 weeks to one of the most beautiful Romanian cities, Sibiu, where through the use of Forum Theatre, a form of participatory theatre that encourages democratic forms of interaction between participants they will be raising awareness of different forms of discrimination that exist in society. The volunteers will organise and perform role plays and presentations.

Before departure participants will receive training and development sessions to prepare for the trip. On completion they will be awarded with the Youthpass, a certificate acknowledging their involvement in this project.

90% of the travel costs are covered by the project. Participants have been fundraising activities (e.g. sponsored walks) before departure to raise the additional funding needed. This is an essential part of the EVS experience.

For more information contact Luisa Messina, Head of Youth on 020 8741 9876.
