On Wednesday 3rd March Events 4 Youth officially launched at the Council Chamber, Hammersmith Town Hall. We would like to thank Hammersmith Town Hall & in particular the Mayor’s office and Leader of the Council, Councillor Stephen Greenhalgh, for providing the venue for our first Events 4 Youth event.

Amongst supporters from the community present, the Mayor of Hounslow, Councillor Paul Lynch, Deputy Mayor of Hammersmith, Councillor Adronie Alford & Councillor Sarah Gore gave speeches. Also giving speeches were the Youth Committee, who with support from Caroline (Youth Events Manager) planned & ran the event, produced publicity materials & promoted the project to representatives of the community present.

Events 4 Youth will now establish itself as a provider of training & volunteer opportunities for young people who want to plan and run events for other young people, in the boroughs ofHammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow. The Youth Committee will soon undertake Events Management training and will be reaching out to work in partnershipwith projects working with young people in both boroughs.

The event was a great success thanks to the efforts of the young people & staff involved. Well done to the Events 4 Youth Committee. A great start to this exciting new project.
