HFVC : Get Involved : Events 4 Youth

Events 4 Youth is a youth led volunteering project that engages, trains and supports young people to identify, plan and run community events for other youth in H&F and Hounslow. The project will become a way of reaching out to young people and promoting messages to them, whilst creating a safe & secure environment for youth to manage events, run by and for youth. Some initial ideas from young people about the types of events they would like to see in their community included;

Talent shows - Underage social nights / festival - Anti crime event - Inter estate sports events - Fashion show - Workshops – sexual health, personal safety - Disability disco - Social events for young parents.

The Committee will steer & direct the project, they believe that it can help promote awareness of local, build partnerships and provide more skilled youths who can contribute to the community.

Young people can take part in a number of ways, depending on their interests & availability;
