Quality Standards for the Voluntary Sector Funding has been received to assist the voluntary and community sector in Hammersmith & Fulham to build their skills knowledge to enable them to work towards achieving a quality standard. Jenny Melrose is a qualified mentor for PQASSO, and is also experienced in taking organisations through other quality standards such as matrix, Investors in People, and Investing in Volunteers.
More and more is it a requirement from funders to have a quality standard in place or to show you are working towards achieving one. Working towards a quality standard really enhances the professionalism of the sector, and you will see its value as you work through the standards.
Evaluating your standards and upgrading them entails looking at your policies and procedures, communications between staff, trustees, volunteers, and partners, your business plans, your governance arrangements, and your operational plans.
