HFVC are local experts on quality standards. We are able to offer funded support to voluntary and community organisations in Hammersmith and Fulham who want to develop a quality project and/or work towards a recognised quality mark. We can help organisations to build their skills and knowledge, enabling them to work towards achieving their desired quality goals. This includes small, medium and large organisations.

Chris McCosh is an accredited PQASSO Mentor with additional experience in further quality standards such as matrix, Investors in People and Investing in Volunteers.

Increasingly, funders require VCS organisations to have a quality standard in place or to demonstrate their active efforts towards best practice and continuous improvement. Working towards a quality standard enhances the professionalism of the third sector; achieving a quality mark gives clear communication benefits and external recognition for high internal standards.

Evaluating and upgrading your quality standards involves reviewing the following:
  • Policies and procedures
  • Communications between staff, trustees, volunteers, and partners
  • Business plans
  • Governance arrangements
  • Operational plans
