What is the Personal Best Programme??
Personal Best is an exciting new programme linked to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It is for people who are not in work or education, but would like to get a qualification, volunteer in their community and at the same time improve their skills and chances of getting a job.
The programme is a part time 8 Week Level 1 Qualification in Volunteer Events Management which is made up of modules including: Customer Relations, Fire Awareness, Conflict Resolution, Equality and Diversity and Becoming a Volunteer. There will also be a 20 hour volunteer placement as part of the course.
There will then be further opportunities for more volunteering, more qualifications, CV writing, Job Search and general support into employment.
